Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 2 is one of four leading power consulting companies in Vietnam, specializing in survey and design and construction of electricity development and investment projects. With advantages over 30 years of operation in the field of design survey and construction supervision of power and grid projects. Referring to TV2, the Company is associated with dozens of power projects and hundreds of power grid projects that have been put into operation. Typical projects include: Tri An, Thac Mo, Ca Mau, Nhon Trach, Son My hydropower plants, Phu My – Nha Be – Phu Lam 500kV 500kV transmission line, 500kV North-South circuit 1 & 2 …  TV2 has been traded on Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HOSE) since June 06, 2019.

MAIN BUSINESS

  • Consulting and developing electric, thermo-electric, grid, telecommunication projects;
  • Providing consultancy on power constructions, irrigational works, industrial and civil buildings;
  • Building up less than 35KV electric station and small hydropower plant;
  • Designing and manufacturing mechanical equipment;
  • Export- import machinery and electrical equipment;
  • Trading real-estate.

PROSPECTIVES

  • Electrical energy is always the most important thing to support other industries like agriculture, industries, manual and handicrafts. Electricity is more and more necessary in our modern life.
  • Currently, the total power capacity of Vietnam is about 48,000 MW. With the growth rate of electricity output of about 10% per year (according to the adjusted VII Electricity Plan) by 2025, it is expected that the demand for power capacity of the national electricity system will be 90,000 MW, double the current. By 2030, will increase to about 130,000 MW
  • Except for EVN, the Company finds many opportunities to corporate with big Groups in global from investment stage to work supervision stage.

RISK

  • There is a shortage of skilled- staff in detailed design, EPC design and work supervision work.
  • While all most all potential hydropower projects were exploited, the left small ones face  with difficulty in capital resources to carry out.
  • Some projects are slackened resulting in lower acceptance and debt withdrawal.
